Staff Roles
Summer Camp Instructor - Clay, Wood, Metal, Print or Glass
Groundworks Art Lab is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Instructors or Teaching Assistants. As a Summer Camp Instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your skills in clay, wood, metal, print or glass with our campers. We will offer separate camps for each of these five art forms, so experience in just one of them is required.
This is a great opportunity for college students or school-year teachers looking for summer work.
Role and Responsibilities
· Develop a daily plan for a project
· Supervise campers to make sure they are safe and happy
· Help campers progress throughout the week in the camp
· Participate in paid trainings held prior to camp session, including CPR/First-Aid training
· Full or half-day options Monday through Friday (hours may vary)
· Camps will run from the beginning of June through early August
Skills and Qualifications
· Must live or be able to commute to Boulder, CO
· Must be able to pass a standard background check
· Experience with pottery/clay hand-building or wheel throwing), printmaking, woodworking,
metalwork or glass.
· Previous classroom experience preferred
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ideal for college students or school-year teachers seeking summer employment
· Passion for teaching and mentoring students
· Candidates must be at least 16 years old
